So with just about everyone around me getting married these days, I can't help but think of myself in a fancy dress walking down an isle. Naturally whenever I mention the idea to my boyfriend he turns as white as a sheet (though we've both spent quite a few sleepless nights discussing what songs we'd like played at the reception) so this is all what-if's and not like I'm really getting married or anything. A girl can fantasize, right?
Now before getting married, you need to get engaged. Well, you don't need to, and my relatives are known for eloping rather than being traditional, but for this particular fantasy lets go with engagement. When it comes to rings, I think diamonds are both tacky and boring. I mean, who wants the same thing as every other girl? I'd love something different and unique. Also, the price tags on diamonds are just silly. Who needs to spend so much on just a ring? Why not get a neat little ring that's just a hundred or two hundred and think about putting what you would've spent on diamonds towards, oh I don't know, a house? A house is much better than a ring. Maybe you can't wear it, but just imagine what you could do with a house!
Anyways, a ring that really caught my eye was the

On the other hand, I've always loved turquoise and think that would make quite a nice engagement ring. Something like this

Now on to the big day!
First of all we'll need a dress. As I see it, a traditional white wedding dress is a) boring b) you can only use it once and c) white for chrissakes. Who wants to wear that much white? I'd rather go with a really nice dress I can keep (and use) for a long time after.
Maybe something like this
50's liquid copper formal dress from splendidred:

Or perhaps
the Abigail from cherrypievintage - after all, it's named after me:

My mom actually wore a similar dress to her wedding.
And if I was pestered enough by a certain boyfriend's mother to wear something more traditional, I may just go with this
Vintage Ball Gown Civil War Steampunk Victorian from Thebohemiangoddess - it's just so dramatic:

For shoes, the only thing I could find that I like are these
vintage YSL evening shoes:

For jewelry, I'm thinking these

And since I'm starting to run out of steam here, how about some party favors? These
